Moderator : What is Easter and it's Origin ?
Rev.Fr. : It is a traditional religion and the very important of the Christian world. It is cardinal to our faith.
- It is Ecclesiastical and not of pagan practice
- That Pope Gregory the 30th developed the Lunar calendar.(28 days a month Gregorian calendar now in use not the Julian calendar.
- The Paschal or Alexander chronicles in the 6th century Catholics supports the Easter views. Easter is celebrated on the 14th day (Lunar) or 15th day (solar) of Nisan. Leviticus 23:5-6.
Mr Awak : Easter and it's origin. It is when the sun crosses or passes the equinox.
- It is the first day of the veneration of the sun, that is; the first Sunday after the First Full Moon. It has an Astro-theological background and it's of pagan origin.
- Easter pre-date Christianity about 1,500 years before the advent of Christ.
- Horus - son of the most high god died and was crucified in Egypt.
- Baal :The Babylonian god called Tammuz was known. Ezekiel 8:14
- The Osirian mystery about the Egyptian god Osiris existed and was well celebrated.

What is the Essence and reflections in Easter ?
Rev.Fr. : Easter is the total reflection of the work Jesus Christ suffered for mankind and sacrificed Himself as ransom for OUR Salvation.
- It is a period where Christians should do well to humble themselves and do well to friends, and the less-privilege ones in the society where they live.
- The essence also seen in the latin word ‘Anatholar',which means-(The Rising Sun that is Jesus Christ). That Christ birth in December was the 1st birth and Easter was the 2nd birth reflecting the Christian life and journey to Heaven.
Mr. Awak : The essence of Easter is seen thus:
- The origin of Pakumsu (that is Passover with pagan origin, beliefs and practices.)
- That each day of the 7 days in a week represented worship days for various deities. These are :
Monday - The Moon goddess
Tuesday - Mercury
Wednesday - Mars
Thursday - Jupiter
Friday - Venus
Saturday - Saturn
Sunday - The Sun god.

The various reflection of the Sun gods in Mithras, Dianas, Hercules, Apollo.
- That the celebration of Easter is a Galactic-movement,considering the dates involved.
- The significance of Easter. Jesus the Christ showed us how to carry our cross, and crucify ourselves (ego) and be resurrected with a new nature.
- From the ashes of the proverbial phoenix,we rise in new birth and regeneration. Mounting your own calvary; that is the Lent season (40 days of Ashes which equal to reflecting pains and denial to pleasure).

What then is “The Crucified Christ" ?
Rev.Fr. : Jesus Christ was crucified under the order of Pontius Pilate. He died and raised with the same ‘Body' glorified with evidences to His disciples, others and the ‘empty tomb'.
- The events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday shows the continuation of the same Jesus Christ as Lord and King.
Mr. Awak : God is indestructible, that God cannot die rather the Christ (man nature). That “OUR" experience of Christ is Mystical. See 1Corinth.15:35-50. Apostasy of Man. That the entirety of the Easter episode is Astro-theological with pagan origin, beliefs and practices.

The Modern Tradition of Easter celebration using the Egg....; Why ?
Rev.Fr. : The modern tradition of celebrating Easter with an Egg....; that is the object must be oval in shape is a western culture.
- The empty tomb of Jesus Christ signifies a new life (that is..; Life starts from an egg stage).
* 25th March is the Feast of Annunciation (that is when Angel Gabriel visited virgin Mary). And from 25th March - 25th December equals 9 months.
Mr. Awak : The tradition is totally Astro-theological and of pagan origin. It is Anthropomorphic.
- That majority of the Christian festivals, objects and creeds gotten from the Roman Catholics were originally owned and possessed by pagans. (The Golden-Order)
- Egg represent womb, when break....; (that is hatch),a new life comes out.
* That from 21st-24th June shows (the birth of John the Baptiser) in the Autumn, this is when the sun decreases in intensity.
** That Jesus the Christ birth was 25th December- January which shows the rising in intensity. (It's an aberration to the calendar in used then and now).
*** Egg represents Womb as said by Angel Gabriel to Mary....; “ blessed is the fruit of thy Womb...."
“Dearly beloved of God...; thank you for reading through and gaining insight on this salient topic, I pray God affirm your faith in Christ Jesus much more toward knowing the truth and being set free." Amen !
