CHRISTIAN ANGELOLOGY | CATGORIES OF ANGELS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS

CHRISTIAN ANGELOLOGY: This is the study of angels. Angels have been grouped into nine (9) categories, from the lowest to highest.
Below here are there the Categories:
-Angel
-Virtue
-Archangel
-Power
-Principality
-Minion
-Throne
-Cherub and
-Seraph.

Jesus Christ is the first born and the only begotten of the Almighty God as written in Hebrews 1:5-10,13. “For to what angel did God ever say, “Thou art my Son,today I have begotten thee"? Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son"?

And again, when he brings the first-born into the world, he says,“Let all of God's angels worship him."
Of the angels he says,“Who makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire."
But of the Son he says,“Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy kingdom.

Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God,thy God, has anointed thee with oil of gladness beyond thy comrades."

And,“Thou, Lord, didst found the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of thy hands;.....
But to what angel has he ever said “Sit at my right hand till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet"?
Dearly beloved, you had heard and mentioned the name Jesus Christ several times in life; yet do you accord him the worship due his name and glory ? Many in Christendom worshipped angels and so do pledged obeisance to fellow human being and accord such their worship.

Take a critical reading and study on Colossians 1:15-20...“He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in him all things were created,in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities-all things were created through him and for him.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross."

Please beloved of God, do well to accord your obeisance and worship to God through Jesus Christ. It is an aberration to worship angels, afterall man was created little lower than them and shortly during the marriage feast with the Lamb of God ; angels will serve us (humans) as stated in the eschatology teachings.

For clarity upon this topic, let's look briefly as there are different ranks of angels and their functions.
1. The two angels sent to Sodom (Gen.19:1-20)
2.The angels Jacob saw in the dream (Gen.28:12)
3.The angel that Jacob wrestled him (Gen.32:24-30). This was the lowest rank of angels(Angel),that is why Jacob striven and prevailed.
4.The angel of the LORD that met Hagar (Gen.16:7-13). This was an Archangel. A powerful angel that leads many other angels, but is still loyal to deity. In Judeo-Christian examples we have: Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel. Gabriel-This archangel is a Biblical character associated with carrying messages from God. Also associated with the revelation of the Qur'an in Islam. Michael-This archangel is associated with defending Israel in the tribulation. Raphael-An archangel in Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

In this study, Choir- refers to one of the nine ranks or orders of angels. They are Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones.

These orders or ranks of spiritual beings has varying characteristics and should not be taken for humans when heaven reveals any of them to us. Few of their characteristics are:
1.They don't possessed ‘affectionate' towards man.(Psalm 8:4-8)
2.No mercy towards man. In (Gen.19:17,26) and (Gen.32:26,31-32)
3.No crown or star for servitude yet man will possess it
4.They are spiritual beings with celestial bodies. Etc

Please do well to distinguish from this ranks or orders of angels and know how you pray to God and accord Him all the glory through Jesus Christ the first-born and only begotten Son.
