MOST SEVEN THINGS GOD HATES

SEVEN THINGS GOD HATES. Proverbs 6:16-19. "The Lord hates six things : yea, seven are an abomination " Detestable sins are abomination before the Lord. Sin is committed the moment it is conceive in the heart even before it is actually carried out.

1.A proud look-" Haughty eyes". Pride is the primary sin. This is assumption of superiority over others. (James 4:6) It was through pride that Lucifer fell and lost his position in heaven. Apostle Peter speaks about the virtue of humility in (1Peter 3:4 ; 5:5). What did Jesus say in Matthew 11:29-30 ? Please let's stop looking down on other's Ability,Educational Qualification, Status-Financial, Marital, Health and God's grace of Spiritual Gifts etc. Galatians 2:20-"Living in the faith of the son of God". 2Corinth.12:7-"We all has defect...."

2."A Lying Tongue" : This is speaking falsehood knowingly and willingly. (John 8:44, Prov.12:22). This is not telling the truth about a wrong doing, Making excuses, Blaming others for own sinful actions. Paul admonished in Ephesians 4:25 ". putting away lying, speak truth with his neighbor.", also David's prayer in Psalm 120:2 ". Deliver my soul, O Lord from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue".

3."Hands that shed innocent blood"-(Heartless Cruelty) Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:21-24 that hating someone else unreasonably without offering room for forgiveness commits a sin equal to murder. Also in 1John 3:11-12,15 (NIV) says ". Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer....,no murderer has eternal life residing in him. Please read Proverbs 21:21

4."A heart that devises wicked schemes" -(Wicked imaginations). Jesus said in Matthew 15:18-19 " But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart and they defile the man........". This encompasses thinking and conceiving evil against any individual or group, for personal benefit or other misguided objectives example Kidnapping, Terrorists bombing, Stealing etc. The heart of an evil man continually conceive evil schemes to bring others to ruin whether physically or spiritually. Also plotting revenge,Snubbing someone, Conspiring to deceive or hurt someone. We're admonished in Romans 12:21 "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good"

5."Feet that be swift in running to mischief"- (Rushing Quick into evil). This is displaying no resistance whatsoever to sin. Rather, let's possess the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:30, Gal. 5:16). We are expected to be wise in this regard. (Rom.6:11-14, Eph.5:5,11). Let us avoid the devil's work mentality after negative results according to 1Peter 5:8, rather let our feet be beautiful feet which Paul spoke of in Romans 10:15 "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things ! Please don't delight in doing wrong,it is not good.Psalm 34:14 admonishes that " Depart from evil,and do good; seek peace and pursue it ". If you're always paid to do evil, refrain from such act. James 4:7 says "Resist the devil and he will flee from you".

6."A false Witness that speaketh lies" This is often times beyond saying words. Sometimes, a shrug of the shoulders, a nodded head, a wink on the face, etc.. All these gestures are telling lies on the heart/mind of the person involve as a false witness. This could send an innocent person to jail or even being stone to death as in 1Kings 21:8-14 the wickedness of Queen Jezebel against Naboth. The effects of these gestures could be: Broken many virtuous heart, Stained many virtuous reputation, Erased good names, Destroyed by crushing the most Chaste and virtuous of our kind. Eph. 4:29 and 32. It is also seen when : Not offering evidence against someone when asked to give testimony, Falsely accusing someone of misbehavior and sin; and describing the actions of another person in a way that implies his/her guilt, Covering for someone who has committed a wrongdoing. Proverbs 3:3-5 says "Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them around thy neck; Bearing false witness is bad, that's why it is prohibited and it's the Ninth of the Ten Commandments. Also in the New Testament, Colossians 3:9-10 explained the reason for condemning it. Reflecting the nature of Jesus Christ,we have been released from our " old self " with its evil practices such as lying and bearing false witness. 2 Corinth.5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new".

7."A man who stirs(sows) discord among brethren. (Stirring up dissension among brothers): This is seen by taking sides in disagreements. Brethren (brothers) are created by God to live in unity. (Psalm133:1; 1Thess.4:9). Believers are brothers and sisters since they have one Father, God and one brother Jesus Christ. The Church is also the bride of Christ. Eph.5:25-27. In many situations,strife among brothers and even within Church seems unavoidable, but anyone who purposely causes disruption to peace in the body of Christ will displease God above all, and gives room for others to sin and for himself to sin further.(1John2:9-11; 4:19-21) It is been admonished in Psalm 15:1-3:and the verse 3 says..."He that backbite not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his friend "

Dear brethren, as we confess our sins and forsake that which grieves the Lord, We must seek and receive the cleansing of Christ's precious blood and finally;We must rely upon the Holy Spirit for victory.
